Filed under: Word of the Week — by digitalcrinoline @ 10:05 am

Crinoline Noun
Officially:

  1. A skirt stiffened with hoops
  2. A full stiff petticoat made of crinoline fabric
  3. A stiff coarse fabric used to stiffen hats or clothing

Wedding-wise:
A large slip, often lined with tulle, worn under a gown to give it shape and substance. The crinoline makes it easier to walk without tripping over excess fabric in the front on a long gown, and keeps it looking full and wrinkle-free.

Crinolines are close to my heart, since I call myself Digital Crinoline! The idea is that a crinoline is a petticoat or underskirt which holds up your wedding gown and makes you look your best- it’s never seen, but it gives you the oomph you need to make it through the day. My aim is to provide the same service for your wedding planning! By giving you the information you need, I can help build up your wedding plans and your confidence so on your wedding day you look your best and feel comfortable knowing everything is in place and ready.
